The Energy, Construction & Utilities (ECU) sector within the California Community Colleges system is a vital part of the state’s Workforce & Economic Development efforts. It focuses on preparing students for careers in growing, high - demand trades across the energy, construction, and utilities industries while centering equity, regional relevance, and hands-on learning
Challenge
- The then state - wide ECU Director recognized that to date, they had done a poor job in promoting careers in energy construction and utilities despite labor market forecast for significant growth in the sector. Existng promotional tools did not address the tye of wages and life stles that could be achieve through an ECU career and did not reflect the multi - cultural needs of diverse communities.. Learning Curved was challenged to create a series of “day in the life” videos for professional in multiple ECU trades. The videos include multi - lingual closed cpatioining with diverse representation of career professionals.
- The ECU videos needed to be hosted on multiple platforms including the CA community College Career Education Toolkit and the re cently launched Pursuit Wise Portal.
