California Community Colleges CTE Online
In response to the challenges of the pandemic and expanding global instruction opportunities, CA community colleges developed CTE online to offer short-term certificates and degrees through online CTE courses available with in the state wide system. in priority sectors such as healthcare, IT, manufacturing, hospitality, construction management.
Challenge
- As part of the statewide CTE online initiative, Coast Community College District wanted to develop resources for promoting the wide range of online offerings at Orange Coast, Golden West and especially Coastline College. Learning Curved was challenged to utilize knowledge and expertise form the development of TalentED to produce a GIS powered Hub Site that offers prospective students with labor market information and living wage data aligned with online course offerings available through the district colleges resulting in a series of course overview videos.
- Coast District sought a strategy to integrate TalentED into the CTE Online Hub Site. Learning Curved was tasked with integrating TalentED case studies documented by regional CTE faculty and career counselors in the CTE Online Hub Site
