Orange County Health Care Agency
The Orange County Health Care Agency (OC HCA) is the official public health department for Orange County, California. Its mission is to protect and promote the health and safety of individuals, families, and the broader community by coordinating efforts across public and private sectors.
Challenge
- OCHCA’s Environmental Health division oversees the permitting process for new and remodeled restaurant facilities. For years they have experienced difficulties in efficiently guiding restaurant owners and architects through the permitting plan check process. Learning Curved was contracted to design and develop an interactive 360 Virtual tour of a restaurant utilizin g clickable hot spots to communicate all permitting construction details required for compliance.
- The information communicated through the 360 virtual tour needed to be accessible in multiple languages. Learning Curved developed 100 + video clips activated by clicking on information hot spots. Each clip allowed for AI generated multi - language closed captioning.
- OCHCA staff wanted to ensure that users utilize their detailed PDF construction guide as the primary reference for successfully submitting a permitting application. Learning Curved integrated links to specific section of the guide at the end of each information hot spot.
